Who should get a yearly lung screening?
The American Cancer Society says it is for people who:
  • Are 50 to 80 years old.
  • Smoke now, or used to smoke.
  • Have 20 pack-years or more.
It does not matter how long ago you quit. A pack-year is 1 pack a day for 1 year.
